Manipulation | A brief, shallow, sudden carefully administered thrust (high velocity in nature) |
Mechanically assisted manipulation | Manipulation performed through the assistance of devices (drop tables or portable drop piece units) or instruments (Activator instruments) being non-cavitational but high velocity in intent |
Mobilisation | When a joint is passively moved within its normal range of motion (usually a slow oscillatory movement) |
