Increased signal intensity is also noted in the mesenecephalic vein and anterior spinal vein (black arrow), both of which are continuations of the pontomesencephalic vein. (B) The next image in the series provides a clearer view of the increased signal intensity in the anterior spinal vein, (white arrow) well visualized between the lower aspects of C2 to mid portion of C5.
